Based upon how that character is a white trash redneck who beats his wife and talks to women the way he does, no punches are too many. He should have been executed right there.

I'm not a tough guy. I've managed to avoid getting into fist fights for most of my life. But, I have had to step in when I thought someone was being a douchelord.
So, this episode begs the question - how many punches to the face are too much? One is probably not enough. Two is a safe bet. But, after two... is three too many? Is four insane? Is five psychotic?
In episode three of The Walking Dead, the character of Ed is WAY over the top. But, if you were in Shane's position, when would you stop throwing punches?
