At this point, let's just call the part of Johnny in Night of the Living Dead "the Bill Moseley role." After appearing as the character in the 1990 Tom Savini remake, Moseley is set to play the part again in Zebediah De Soto's CGI version Night of the Living Dead: Origins. Moseley didn't clear up whether Origins is a prequel or remake, but he did reveal the setting!
First of all, it's set in New York City, so it ends up following the story (of the original) but at the same time placing it instead of rural Pennsylvania, right in the middle of town. I think what's really cool about it is because it's the animated process, you can really do things for the story elements that would normally cost a lot of money, like actually shooting in New York. Zebediah's a really cool guy, he's got a cool vision so I’m really excited to be a part of that.
What an update! News on Origins is a little lean currently, but we expect more to come from this movie later this year.
