DEADHEADS To Arrive on DVD in March; Ross Kidder Talks About the Production

Deadheads is zombie/comedy hybrid (sorry, can't live with myself if I call it a "zombedy") that completely kicks ass and will be out on DVD on March 6th. One of the movie's stars, Ross Kidder, spoke to Australia's Canberra Times and talked about the production, which took place entirely in Michigan, the home of writer-directors Brett and Drew T. Pierce.

Everyone's not used to seeing cameras all over the place like in Hollywood. We got extras there and a lot of help from police officers. It proved to be a really, really good thing for us.

Kidder plays Brent, the movie's comic relief, and he has the hardest job of the two leads since he has to show up and be instantly likeable to an audience or most of the film's humor won't work. Luckily, Kidder is hilarious in the movie without trying too hard.

I auditioned a couple of times. They spent four or five months looking for someone for the role of Brent. They saw about 30 different guys before me. I saw him more as an optimistic, live-and-let-live type of man ... who lives his death to the fullest extent he can.

For those that have seen the movie, I hope you enjoyed Kidder's comments. For those that haven't watched it yet - grab it on March 6th.
