Danny Boyle created a resurgence amongst zombie movies with 2003's 28 Days Later. Plenty would argue that the movie has no zombies, and they wouldn't be wrong, but Boyle's rage-infected creatures proved that zombie movies didn't need to have the traditional zombie in it to qualify. Boyle only produced the sequel, 28 Weeks Later, but could the (now) Academy-Award winning director come back for the next sequel?
According to a Dread Central report, yes:
For those wondering, this news has come from Boyle himself. The director indicated to a good friend of our site that "there's another 28 Days Later in the works." When asked if the title would be 28 Months Later, Boyle replied "In theory, yes." Immediately the next question was if he'd be producing, to which Boyle responded, "Actually I want to direct it." There you have it, kids. From the horse's mouth.
Please be true.
