Valve has announced its first DLC will bring all the survivors together in "The Passing" next spring. Taking place chronologically after Left 4 Dead 2's first campaign "Dead Center," "The Passing" will take place in a rural town in Georgia where all 8 survivors will meet for the very first time.
"'The Passing' will become the most important campaign in the Left 4 Dead story, as all the Survivors are being called together in one campaign," said Valve's VP of marketing, Doug Lombardi. "It will also be a huge offering of new gameplay content, with something new for every game mode plus a new uncommon common and weaponry."
"The Passing" will include Survival, Versus and Scavenge modes, introduce a new co-operative challenge mode of play, and a new melee weapon and firearm.
Here's a quick preview: Ellis tells a completely ridiculous story that Francis will hate, Louis will need all the health packs, Zoey and Rochelle will fight over the sniper rifle, and Coach and Bill will hug it out.
