Mary Elizabeth Winstead to Play Mary Todd Lincoln in ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER

THR reports that Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) has landed the role of Mary Todd Lincoln in director Timur Bekamabetov's  Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) novel that mixed history and vampires.

The entire cast for the movie is starting to come together. Benjamin Walker recently beat out five other candidates for the title role, while Dominic Cooper (Captain America: The First Avenger) was cast as Lincoln's mentor Henry Sturgess and Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker) was cast as Lincoln's best friend, Will.

Bekmambetov is also producing the movie, along with Tim Burton, with Grahame-Smith adapting his own novel into the screenplay.

I''m excited for Grahame-Smith, in that both of his books have begun the process of becoming movies, and I'm hoping the momentum for Vampire Hunter will help out the oft-stalled adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
