Several new posters have arrived online, the first of which is for [REC] 3: Genesis. I've made it no secret on this site, but I love the first two [REC] movies. In fact, in my mind, [REC] 2 is probably better than [REC]. In any case, the third installment will see [REC] and [REC] 2 co-director Paco Plaza tackle the demonic virus all on his own, which will this time step out of the apartment building and into someone's wedding.
[REC] 3: Genesis will open in Spain on March 30th and eventually will hit VOD in the States, though no date has been mentioned. It will also open in France, as the French poster has been discovered. [Bloody-Disgusting]

Opening on March 2nd on VOD is ATM, which many might not have heard of, but, from the looks of the poster, it looks like a character from The Thing went back to the lower 48 and will fight anyone that stops him from using the ATM.
In reality it's about three friends (Brian Geraghty, Josh Peck and Alice Eve) who go visit an ATM late at night and get attacked by a hooded maniac. Chris Sparling wrote the script and continues a trend of putting characters in confined spaces that he started in Buried. IFC Midnight will release the movie theatrically on April 6th. Newcomer David Brooks directs. [STYD]

Here's a sequel The Weinstein Company clearly believes in: Piranha 3DD. Initially set for release last Thanksgiving, TWC moved the sequel to a still unspecified date in 2012 late last year, and a reader had to inform Bloody-Disgusting of the international poster below.

I really enjoyed Piranha, and was excited to see the Feast team (screenwriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton; director John Gulager) tackle the sequel. Apparently, TWC could give a shit about the sequel, but whether the Weinsteins are too busy with their Oscar campaigns to worry about their Dimension releases or not, Piranha 3DD reeks of a DVD dump, possibly in October. At least the posters are awesome. Here's another from Zone Fears.
