Pontypool Gets Premiere; Distribution
Pontypool, one of the zombie films of 2009 we can't wait for, is getting its premiere at New York's Museum of Modern Art on March 19, 2009 at 6:15PM! IFC Films have already nabbed the U.S. rights to the Canadian horror film, and is giving Pontypool a limited release starting on May 29.
Pontypool is an odd movie, set in a radio station in a tiny town on a night when the power of words turn people into, well, "crazies." Bit of a stretch for a "zombie" movie, but we're excited about the new "Zombie Radio Station" subgenre Pontypool is helping to establish along with LA Law's Corbin Bernsen's Dead Air. Strippers and zombies is so 2008, long live zombies and radio stations!
