The Walking Dead Gets a Fan-Made Movie, Well, Scene

Can't wait for AMC's The Walking Dead pilot? Neither can we, but even more impatient is Michelle Massey, who shot a scene from Walking Dead issue #51. For those of you who haven't read the  comic or up to issue #51, you may be as confused as the gorehounds who will watch this benign scene and think, "Isn't The Walking Dead a zombie comic?"

While Massey shows none of the outer zombie world, she does get the look right, putting the scene in black and white, giving Rick (Brian Bedell) the appropriate "wig" (even if it does appear to be slipping off  in one close-up) and Carl's (Nermin Zijac) hat.

While the fan-made scene is probably either a film school exercise or a demo reel exercise, it does raise a few good questions: will the series be shot in black and white? Will entire episodes go by without seeing a zombie? Will Carl be cast as older than the comic? In a way, this could be foreshadowing as to how AMC and writer/director Frank Darabont will produce the pilot. Check it out below.

That was pretty cool but Rick didn't seem like the alpha-male type here like he does in the comic. I also hope Carl isn't quite as old as this kid was.

I felt just like I was reading the comic though, so it was pretty dang cool.

PLEASE DON'T BE IN BLACK AND WHITE!!!

AWESOME!!!!!!! Loved everything about it. Rick was just what I imagined. Even in his beat up state...he was still handsome and powerful with a sensitive side. Carl was a bit too old.

Loved the style too! So excited to see the series.
