There's little doubt that without George Romero there would be no Hug a Zombie. Worse yet, there wouldn't be zombies. No Resident Evil games, no "virus" zombies, no Lucio Fulci's zombie fighting a shark, so many indelible moments ripped away from us. Romero isn't a perfect filmmaker, he doesn't always hit a home run, but he created something amazing, and we can't get enough of it. Thanks for everything, George.
